Terms of Service
Effective Date: September 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the websites, mobile applications, customer portal, communications, memberships, maintenance services, repair services, and other products or services provided by Garago, LLC ("Garago," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, booking a service, purchasing a membership, approving a quote, using our website or mobile application, or otherwise using Garago's services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use Garago's services.
1. Garago Services
Garago provides mobile vehicle maintenance and light repair services, maintenance tracking, service recommendations, appointment scheduling, vehicle service records, and related services.
Garago may provide services through independent contractor technicians who perform work on behalf of Garago.
Services may include, depending on vehicle eligibility, technician availability, location, parts availability, weather, safety conditions, and other factors:
- Oil and filter changes
- Tire rotations
- Engine air-filter replacement
- Cabin air-filter replacement
- Wiper-blade replacement
- Fluid checks and top-offs
- Battery testing or replacement
- Brake inspection and certain brake services
- Tire-tread measurements
- Multi-point inspections
- Spark-plug replacement
- Ignition-coil replacement
- Belt replacement
- Starter or alternator replacement
- Diagnostics
- Certain sensor replacements
- Other maintenance or light repair services that Garago determines can be safely and professionally performed at the service location
Garago may decline any service that we determine requires specialized equipment, a repair facility, additional personnel, towing, vehicle lifting beyond our approved equipment or procedures, or other conditions that make mobile service impractical or unsafe.
2. Accounts
You may be required to create a Garago account to use certain services.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep your account information updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
You must notify Garago promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to create an account or purchase services.
3. Vehicle Information
You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the vehicle for which service is requested.
This may include:
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- License plate information
- Year, make, model, and trim
- Engine configuration
- Current mileage
- Maintenance history
- Modifications
- Known mechanical problems
- Warning lights
- Previous repairs
- Other information reasonably requested by Garago
Garago may obtain vehicle information from third-party databases, VIN-decoding services, vehicle manufacturers, connected-vehicle providers, or other sources.
Vehicle information provided by third parties may occasionally be incomplete or inaccurate.
You are responsible for notifying us if information shown in your account is incorrect.
4. Vehicle Eligibility
Not every vehicle is eligible for every Garago service or membership.
Garago may establish or modify eligibility requirements based on factors including:
- Vehicle age
- Mileage
- Make or model
- Engine type
- Vehicle condition
- Vehicle modifications
- Parts availability
- Service complexity
- Safety concerns
- Manufacturer procedures
- Technician capabilities
- Specialized equipment requirements
Garago may decline or discontinue service for a vehicle that we determine cannot reasonably or safely be serviced through our mobile service model.
5. Service Locations
Garago provides services at approved customer locations, which may include homes, workplaces, or other locations where mobile automotive service can be performed safely and legally.
The customer is responsible for selecting a service location that provides sufficient space and lawful access for the technician to perform the requested work.
The service location must:
- Be safely accessible
- Provide adequate space around the vehicle
- Permit automotive maintenance or repair activity
- Allow the technician to park and access the vehicle
- Be reasonably level when required for the service
- Be free of known hazards that would make the work unsafe
Garago may refuse or discontinue service if the technician determines the location is unsafe, inaccessible, prohibited, or otherwise unsuitable.
Restricted or Inaccessible Locations
Garago generally cannot provide service at locations where the technician cannot independently and reasonably access the vehicle.
This may include:
- Gated communities where appropriate technician access cannot be arranged
- Stadiums
- Event venues
- Controlled-access parking facilities
- Locations requiring paid admission or paid entry
- Areas requiring credentials, permits, security clearance, or special access
- Locations where automotive work is prohibited
- Locations where parking or service activity would violate applicable rules or laws
The customer is responsible for selecting an accessible service location.
If a technician cannot access the vehicle because of conditions within the customer's control, cancellation or service-call charges may apply.
6. Customer Access to the Vehicle
You authorize Garago and the assigned technician to access the vehicle as reasonably necessary to perform approved services.
Depending on the service, you may need to:
- Be present
- Provide a vehicle key or key fob
- Unlock the vehicle remotely
- Leave a key through an approved handoff process
- Provide access through workplace reception or another authorized person
- Use another access method approved by Garago
You represent that you own the vehicle or are authorized by the owner to request and approve services.
7. Quotes, Estimates, and Service Authorization
Garago may provide quotes or estimates before performing work.
A quote or estimate may identify:
- Requested services
- Parts
- Labor
- Fees
- Taxes
- Discounts
- Membership benefits
- Other expected charges
You must approve applicable services before Garago performs chargeable work.
Garago may use electronic approvals through the application, website, SMS, email, or another documented method.
If additional work is discovered during service, Garago may provide a revised or supplemental quote.
We will not intentionally perform additional chargeable work requiring customer authorization without obtaining that authorization.
Automotive repair guidance from the Federal Trade Commission recommends written estimates identifying the condition, parts, and expected labor and obtaining approval before exceeding an agreed amount.
8. Diagnostic Services
Automotive diagnostics may identify one or more possible causes of a problem, but diagnostics do not guarantee that every underlying or future issue will be identified.
Some vehicle problems may:
- Be intermittent
- Require additional testing
- Require disassembly
- Require manufacturer-specific equipment
- Require specialized shop equipment
- Have multiple contributing causes
A diagnostic charge may apply regardless of whether the customer subsequently authorizes a repair.
If Garago determines that further diagnosis requires equipment or procedures that are not appropriate for mobile service, we may recommend that the vehicle be serviced by a repair facility or other specialist.
9. Additional Work Discovered During Service
During an inspection, maintenance visit, or repair, a technician may identify additional maintenance needs, safety concerns, damage, or mechanical problems.
Garago may provide recommendations and an additional quote through the app, website, text message, email, or another approved communication method.
You may approve or decline recommended services.
Declining a recommendation may be documented in the vehicle's service record.
If a condition makes continued work unsafe or could result in damage, the technician may stop work until the issue is addressed.
10. Parts
Garago may use:
- Original equipment manufacturer ("OEM") parts
- New aftermarket parts
- Remanufactured parts
- Other suitable replacement parts
The type of part used may depend on availability, price, vehicle requirements, customer selection, and the nature of the repair.
Where reasonably practical, the quote or service description may identify the type of part being supplied.
Parts availability may affect appointment timing or completion of a service.
Garago does not guarantee that a particular brand of part will always be available.
11. Preexisting Conditions and Vehicle Condition
Vehicles may have existing wear, damage, corrosion, leaks, stripped or seized hardware, previous improper repairs, aftermarket modifications, deteriorated components, or other conditions that affect service.
Garago is not responsible for preexisting conditions that were not caused by Garago.
A technician may document the condition of the vehicle before, during, or after service, including through photographs, measurements, inspection results, or notes.
If a preexisting condition prevents safe completion of the requested work, Garago may stop or modify the service.
Additional charges will not be imposed for new work without appropriate authorization where authorization is required.
12. Inspections
Garago inspections are limited to the items and conditions reasonably observable during the applicable inspection.
An inspection is not a guarantee that a vehicle is free of defects or that every component has been examined.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Garago inspections are not:
- Government safety inspections
- Emissions inspections
- Pre-purchase certifications
- Manufacturer certifications
- Guarantees of vehicle safety
- Comprehensive mechanical tear-down inspections
Certain problems may not be detectable without disassembly, specialized diagnostic tools, road testing, or shop equipment.
13. Maintenance Recommendations
Garago may provide maintenance recommendations based on information including:
- Vehicle mileage
- Vehicle age
- Manufacturer guidance
- Service history
- Inspection findings
- Connected-vehicle data
- Customer-provided information
- Technician observations
Maintenance recommendations are intended to help customers manage their vehicles but may not perfectly reflect every manufacturer requirement or every aspect of the vehicle's condition.
Customers remain responsible for complying with any manufacturer requirements necessary to preserve warranties or other contractual rights.
14. Memberships
Garago may offer recurring maintenance memberships.
The specific services, limitations, pricing, vehicle eligibility, and other benefits of a membership will be described at the time of enrollment.
A membership is not an automobile warranty, mechanical breakdown insurance policy, or promise to repair every problem with the vehicle.
Unless expressly included in the applicable membership, major repairs, high-cost repairs, accident damage, tires, drivetrain repairs, and other excluded services remain the customer's responsibility.
Membership services are provided when legitimately due or otherwise included under the applicable membership terms. Membership does not entitle a customer to unnecessary maintenance solely because the customer has paid membership fees.
15. Membership Billing and Automatic Renewal
Unless otherwise stated at enrollment, memberships automatically renew at the applicable billing interval until canceled.
You authorize Garago and its payment processor to charge the payment method associated with your account for recurring membership fees, applicable taxes, and other authorized charges.
Before enrollment, Garago will display the applicable:
- Membership price
- Billing frequency
- Automatic-renewal terms
- Material membership conditions
- Cancellation method
Georgia's Online Automatic Renewal Transparency Act requires covered businesses to clearly disclose automatic-renewal terms and provide qualifying consumers with an appropriate cancellation method.
Garago may change membership pricing upon advance notice as required by applicable law.
16. Membership Cancellation
You may cancel a membership using the cancellation method provided by Garago.
Cancellation ordinarily prevents future renewals but does not automatically create a refund for amounts already paid unless required by law or expressly stated by Garago.
The effective date of cancellation and any remaining benefits will be described during the cancellation process or in the applicable membership offer.
Garago may terminate or decline to renew a membership for reasons including:
- Nonpayment
- Fraud
- Abuse of membership benefits
- Unsafe conduct
- Repeated inaccessible service locations
- Ineligible vehicles
- Misrepresentation
- Harassment or abuse of technicians
- Violation of these Terms
17. Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling
Customers may cancel or reschedule an appointment subject to Garago's cancellation policy.
Unless a different policy is disclosed at booking, customers should cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Late cancellations, inaccessible vehicles, failure to provide required vehicle access, or missed appointments may result in a cancellation, service-call, or rescheduling fee.
Garago may waive fees at its discretion.
18. Weather and Unsafe Conditions
Mobile automotive service is affected by weather and environmental conditions.
Garago or the technician may delay, reschedule, discontinue, or cancel service due to conditions including:
- Rain
- Lightning
- Severe weather
- Excessive heat or cold
- Flooding
- Snow or ice
- High winds
- Unsafe pavement or terrain
- Poor lighting
- Hazardous traffic conditions
- Other circumstances that make mobile service unsafe
Garago will make reasonable efforts to notify customers and reschedule affected appointments.
Garago is not responsible for delays caused by weather or other conditions outside our reasonable control.
19. Scheduling and Arrival Times
Appointment times and arrival windows are estimates.
Actual arrival or completion times may be affected by:
- Traffic
- Previous appointments
- Parts delays
- Weather
- Unexpected vehicle conditions
- Service complexity
- Technician availability
- Emergencies
- Other circumstances outside Garago's reasonable control
We may provide estimated arrival information or technician tracking for convenience, but such information is not guaranteed to be exact.
20. Payment
You agree to pay all charges that you authorize.
Garago may require a valid payment method before allowing an appointment to be booked or services to be performed.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment processors such as Stripe.
Depending on the service, Garago may:
- Authorize a payment method before service
- Charge after service completion
- Charge recurring membership fees
- Collect approved additional charges
- Issue refunds or credits where appropriate
Taxes and legally required fees may be added to listed prices.
21. Payment Authorization
By providing or selecting a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use that payment method.
You authorize Garago and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for:
- Approved services
- Membership fees
- Applicable taxes
- Approved additional services
- Cancellation or missed-appointment charges where applicable
- Other charges expressly authorized by you
If a payment fails, Garago may suspend services or membership benefits until the outstanding balance is resolved.
22. Refunds and Credits
Refunds and credits are determined based on the circumstances of the applicable service and any specific refund policy presented at the time of purchase.
Garago may issue a refund, partial refund, re-performance of service, or account credit where appropriate.
A customer's dissatisfaction does not automatically entitle the customer to a full refund if the authorized service was properly performed.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
23. Service Records
Garago may maintain records regarding services performed on your vehicle, including:
- Mileage
- Services performed
- Parts installed
- Inspection results
- Technician notes
- Photographs
- Recommendations
- Customer approvals or declined recommendations
- Quotes
- Invoices
- Dates of service
These records may remain associated with your account or vehicle history after a service is completed.
24. Connected Vehicle Services
Garago may offer optional integration with Smartcar or other connected-vehicle providers.
Connected-vehicle features may depend on:
- Manufacturer compatibility
- Vehicle model and year
- Customer authorization
- Third-party service availability
- Manufacturer systems
- Internet or cellular connectivity
Connected-vehicle functionality may change or become unavailable without notice due to circumstances outside Garago's control.
Garago does not guarantee compatibility with any particular vehicle.
You may revoke connected-vehicle authorization according to the applicable provider's procedures.
25. Communications
By creating an account or requesting services, you agree that Garago may send service-related communications through channels including:
- SMS or text message
- Push notification
- Telephone
- In-app notification
Transactional communications may include:
- Appointment confirmations
- Technician arrival updates
- Service updates
- Quotes
- Approval requests
- Maintenance reminders
- Invoices
- Receipts
- Account notifications
- Safety information
Marketing communications will be subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
Additional information about communications and personal information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
26. Customer Conduct
Customers must treat Garago technicians, contractors, employees, and representatives respectfully and must provide a reasonably safe working environment.
Garago may refuse, discontinue, or cancel service because of:
- Threatening behavior
- Harassment
- Discrimination
- Violence or threats of violence
- Unsafe animals
- Illegal activity
- Unsafe working conditions
- Intentional interference with the technician's work
- Fraud or attempted fraud
- Other conduct that creates a reasonable safety or operational concern
27. Customer Property
Customers should remove valuables and sensitive personal items from areas of the vehicle where a technician may need to work.
Garago is not responsible for loss of unsecured personal property unless the loss is directly caused by Garago's failure to exercise reasonable care.
28. Technician Status
Garago may use qualified independent contractor technicians to perform services.
Customers contract with Garago for the services purchased through Garago.
Technicians are not authorized to modify these Terms, make unauthorized warranties on behalf of Garago, or enter into separate side agreements on Garago's behalf.
Customers should make payments for Garago services only through authorized Garago payment methods unless Garago expressly instructs otherwise.
29. No Guarantee Against Future Failure
Vehicle maintenance and repair reduces certain risks but cannot eliminate the possibility of future mechanical failure.
A service performed by Garago does not guarantee:
- That another component will not fail
- That the vehicle will remain free from mechanical problems
- That a warning light will never appear
- That manufacturer recalls or defects will not occur
- That every unrelated existing problem will be detected
Garago is responsible for work it agrees to perform subject to these Terms and any applicable service warranty.
30. Service Warranty
Garago may provide a limited warranty applicable to certain parts or labor.
The duration and scope of any applicable warranty will be disclosed in the applicable service documentation, invoice, or separate warranty policy.
A warranty may not apply to problems resulting from:
- Normal wear
- Abuse or misuse
- Accidents
- Subsequent modifications
- Customer-supplied parts
- Unrelated mechanical failure
- Failure to follow recommendations
- Work performed by another person after Garago's service
- Preexisting conditions
- Manufacturer defects
Nothing in this section eliminates warranty rights provided by applicable law.
31. Manufacturer Warranties
Garago is not the manufacturer of vehicles or most parts installed during service.
Certain parts may carry warranties provided by their manufacturers.
Garago does not control manufacturer warranty decisions.
Customers should maintain appropriate service records where required for manufacturer or third-party warranties. The FTC notes that service-contract and warranty coverage may depend on required maintenance and supporting service records.
32. Road Testing and Vehicle Movement
Certain services may require limited movement or operation of the vehicle.
By authorizing the applicable service, you authorize Garago personnel or an assigned technician to move or operate the vehicle when reasonably necessary to:
- Position the vehicle
- Verify a repair
- Conduct an authorized diagnostic procedure
- Perform a road test
- Confirm proper operation
Garago will use reasonable care when operating customer vehicles.
Garago may decline to drive or move a vehicle if doing so appears unsafe.
33. Towing and Third-Party Repair Facilities
Some conditions cannot be safely or appropriately handled through mobile service.
Garago may recommend that the vehicle be taken to:
- A dealership
- A repair shop
- A tire facility
- An alignment facility
- A transmission specialist
- A body shop
- Another third-party provider
Unless expressly stated otherwise, third-party services are separate from Garago's services and their charges remain the customer's responsibility.
Garago is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent third-party businesses that are not performing services on Garago's behalf.
34. Third-Party Services
Garago's website, app, or services may use or integrate third-party services including:
- Payment processors
- Mapping providers
- Connected-vehicle platforms
- Vehicle information services
- Communication providers
- Analytics services
- Cloud-service providers
Garago does not control every aspect of third-party services and cannot guarantee their uninterrupted availability.
Your use of some third-party services may also be subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies.
35. Application and Website License
Garago grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use our website and customer application for your personal use of Garago's services.
You may not:
- Copy or redistribute the application except as permitted by law
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law expressly permits it
- Interfere with the security or operation of our systems
- Circumvent access controls
- Use automated systems to abuse the service
- Attempt unauthorized access to another person's account
- Use the platform for unlawful purposes
36. Intellectual Property
Garago's software, website, applications, trademarks, logos, graphics, text, designs, and other proprietary materials are owned by Garago or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of Garago intellectual property to you.
37. Service Availability
Garago does not guarantee that services will be available:
- In every geographic area
- For every vehicle
- At every requested time
- For every repair or maintenance need
Garago may expand, reduce, suspend, or modify service areas and available services.
38. Suspension or Termination
Garago may suspend or terminate access to an account or service when reasonably necessary because of:
- Violation of these Terms
- Nonpayment
- Fraud
- Security concerns
- Illegal activity
- Unsafe conduct
- Abuse of personnel or technicians
- Misuse of the service
Where appropriate, Garago may provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
39. Disclaimer of Certain Warranties
Except for any express service warranty provided by Garago and warranties that cannot legally be excluded, Garago's website, applications, and related digital services are provided on an "as available" basis.
Garago does not warrant that digital services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or vehicle.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be waived.
40. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Garago will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of our digital services or services, except where such limitations are prohibited by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability resulting from conduct for which applicable law prohibits limitation.
41. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims resulting from your material violation of these Terms, unlawful conduct, intentional misuse of Garago's services, or material misrepresentations you make to Garago.
This provision does not require you to indemnify Garago for losses caused by Garago's own negligence or misconduct where applicable law prohibits such an obligation.
42. Force Majeure
Garago is not responsible for delays or inability to provide services caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Natural disasters
- Government actions
- Road closures
- Civil emergencies
- Telecommunications outages
- Internet outages
- Supplier disruptions
- Parts shortages
- Labor disruptions
- Other similar events outside our reasonable control
43. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or another applicable law requires otherwise.
44. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a formal legal claim regarding a service, you agree to make a reasonable effort to contact Garago so that we have an opportunity to investigate and attempt to resolve the issue.
You may contact us at:
Nothing in this section prevents either party from exercising rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
45. Changes to These Terms
Garago may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the website, application, email, or another appropriate method.
The version in effect when you purchase or authorize a particular service will generally govern that transaction, except where a subsequent change is required by law or expressly agreed upon.
46. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
47. No Waiver
Garago's failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.
48. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable quote, service authorization, membership terms, warranty terms, Privacy Policy, and other terms expressly incorporated into a transaction, constitute the agreement between you and Garago regarding the applicable services.
